The current health crisis has undoubtedly created numerous challenges for medical clinics, offices, and hospitals, especially when it comes to staffing. Help is hard to come by, causing medical facilities to offer double the normal rate to support the growing number of COVID cases.

The Growing Need for Nurses

The nursing profession, in particular, has seen a significant rise in demand, with traveling nurses being offered “pay as much as double to make it worth it” to meet the need (reuters.com).

And according to reuters.com, this isn’t a localized issue: “With the coronavirus outbreak escalating every day, the need for temporary nurses is growing exponentially throughout the United States. […] As a result, some pay packages, which include a housing stipend, have more than doubled, with rates at the top of the market reaching $5,000 a week, although most are in the $3,000-$4,000 per week range.”
